Hello, folks! This week we dive deep into the mesmerising and mysterious bodies of water, so come and join us In the Depths! Greenish, disturbing light illuminates the sandy bottom, mighty fish swim all around and the pressure of the liquid above is just immense. The tension seems to grow around the mysterious runestone in this even more enigmatic location.
The map is designed to complement the climax of the adventure, either as a boss fight arena or a place of a truly emotional scene. All aquatic maps provide an immense level of possibilities and threats, so we are extremely curious about the creative ways you will use this piece!
Take a deep breath, before descending, slip past the ever-watchful eyes of the fish and try to preserve enough willpower to discover what hides in the depths!
Adventure hooks ideas:
– A grand witch, Gomatha Thundersmile has finally been caught and captured. The militia tied her to the Ancient Stone of Magic Interruption, and they have thrown the sorceress into the depths of the local lake. To the surprise of the common folk, there is a faint, glimmering, green light coming up from the bottom ever since. The Mayor suspects, that Gomatha is trying to escape. He needs someone brave enough to check if she is really trying to escape with evil trickery.
– The Great Maehana Lake is home to truly bizarre species of animals. Fish reach triple their normal size, crabs produce unusual tumours on their shells and seaweed is said to behave more like an animal than a plant. The biology cathedral of the Academy decided to investigate the cause of those abnormalities and offered a lot of prizes to anyone contributing.
– The beast needs to be feed. One human a year is enough to satisfy its hunger and prevent it from rampaging over the little, seaside village of Rooga. Unfortunately this year it was your friend, who got randomly selected to become the feed. You can’t leave them this way, that would be unthinkable… On the other hand, you can’t risk the monster attacking the hamlet.
